Alexander and Jason Loomis come by their love of holiday ornaments naturally. In fact, you might say it's genetic. Starting when each of her grandchildren were born, Margaret Niklaus sought out a different handmade ornament from her yearly travels as a special holiday gift. Soon, decking out the tree became a centerpiece of the holiday season for the whole family. Ornaments from a particular trip would be passed out to each grandchild who then took great care to strategically place their personal decorations on that year's Noble Fir. Today, with her grandchildren starting families and holiday traditions of their own, each has an irreplaceable collection of one-of-a-kind ornaments to adorn their holiday trees.
When Margaret Niklaus passed away, Jason took it upon himself to continue the ornament tradition. It was during one year's hunt for the wholly unique ornament deep in the Vermont Mountains that the idea for a self-illuminating ornament first flickered. Alex introduced the idea of using LEDs for their long life, low heat and power consumption and their dazzling light spectrums. Together, they tackled the challenges of bringing their ornaments to light and to life. Several years, a couple of setbacks and lots of sweat later, Grandmother Maggie's two oldest grandsons are finally ready to share with you this vision with the hope that their creations become a treasured part of your holiday traditions.
